It is great it has made each member nation economically stronger..and one day it will be a military might to be reconed with. The union will bring law and order to the world especially the Middle East. It will be the next super power after the fall of the existing super power. all great empires fall the current onw will and the European Union will rise. But eventually it too will become filled with its own pride and entoxicated by its own power and it too will fall. Every dog has its day. But that day will always come to an end...History is a great teacher

Many people may not like the European Union, but the fact is that the vast majority of people know nothing about it and the good it has done.

It's a shadow of the Roman Empire.
All of Europe is united together to work efficently without delays or obstructions created by borders and such. Also, it allows smaller countries to experience the power that they would not have been exposed to had they been seperated. It is a major ally and competitor to the U.S.
The structure of its economics and geography help to ward of possible invasions from neighboring countries. With 25 countries interjoined in a huge force, no army would stand a chance in a war against it.
Although, having one currency has put many money exchangers out of business, it helps to bring business as well. Under one currency, it makes international trade available to private citizens and others.
Would this not be a close resemblence to the Roman Empire?

It is a union of old Roman empire having a common currency , which may stand at par with US dollar.

They can't compete with U.S. each by themselves, so they've formed the union to be competetive with U.S. and China. But they are having problems, because they don't like each other in the first place. They need this to work, otherwise they'll fall behind, if they didn't already.

well i think it is a corrupt bureaucracy that has no teeth,and is run for the befit of the Germans and the french.and for as many years as i can remember the European audit office has never ok'd the EU budget accounts,so basically its spending is illegal.and also it is rife with fraud.

citizens. But they will fail sometime either before or at the
