Tweety is a boy, but he is an odd boy. I often see him dressed in drag. I saw a plush a year ago where he is wearing a purple dress, purple hat, and they have multi colored flowers on the whole thing. I sold it under the title "Tweety in Drag" He sold quick too. And yes he was an officially licensed Looney Tunes Warner Brothers Tweety Bird. I like Sylvester though. I wish he would just get his snack and have done with it already.

Tweety Bird (also known as Tweety Pie or simply Tweety) is a fictional character in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated cartoons. Tweety's popularity, like that of The Tasmanian Devil, actually grew in the years following the dissolution of the Looney Tunes cartoons. Today Tweety is considered, along with Taz and Bugs Bunny, among the most popular of the Looney Tunes characters, especially (because of his "cute" appearance and personality) among girls and young women. Despite widespread speculation that he was female, Tweety is and has always been a male character.
Nevertheless, there is a female character called Sweetie Pie. Sweetie Pie is a fictional anthropomorphic pink canary who appears in the 1990s series Tiny Toon Adventures. Sweetie is voiced by Candi Milo. Sweetie's personality tended toward behaving in an amiable manner, but was prone to a mischievous streak when dealing with her main enemy and longtime pursuer, Furrball the cat. Sweetie is voiced similarly to comedienne Judy Tenuta---speaking in a liquid trill followed by a throaty screech (when excited). Like the other characters in the series, Sweetie attended Acme Looniversity. Her mentor and favorite teacher was Tweety. In one short, Sweetie is seen to be owned by Elmyra Duff, who also owns Furrball, setting up the familiar scenario seen in earlier Sylvester and Tweety cartoons. Sweetie constantly outsmarts the predatory Furrball by making him look bad in front of his usually sweet-tempered owner, to the point of his eviction from the apartment. Occasionally, Sweetie is shown to be running after the Bookworm, in which case she is constantly outsmarted, or simply has bad luck.
I hope this information helps solve the misunderstanding you and your sister were having about Tweety Pie http://andreas.tooslow.net/Misc/tweety.jpeg and Sweetie Piehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Sweetie_TTA.jpg : )

Well I learned something new today! I've always thought Tweety was a female, but wanted to make sure so I look on Wikipedia and it said "Despite widespread speculation that he was female, Tweety is and has always been a male character".
I'm shocked!

Tweety is a boy but he sounds like a little kid kindof.
If u look at old drawings of tweety, he looks more like a boy.
For ex. in "Who framed roger rabbit", u can tell that he is a boy.
