No is not bad if u consult a psychiatrist who specializes in sex Fields it will say that is sane or good to do it so u can know ur body better, the sensation. No it doesn't hurt only if u do it 100000 times a day probably. but be carefully if u do it one time and u want to finish very fast, it can turn u in a precoz eyaculator man

Its not bad unless you're doing it wrong and hurting yourself.
Its one of the way "nature keeps your PIPES clean." The other way is by Nocturnal Emission or "wet dreams." So, if you don't masturbate, you will have a wet dream anyways.
Keeping your penis muscle healthy and its vas deferens "clear" will aid in a healthy male organ. Not trying to be nasty, just informative. Also, you don't want the prostrate to get backed up, because let me tell you, THAT CAN HURT!

The dictionaries used to define it as self-abuse and self-abuse is still defined as masturbation. I am sure most people would agree that self-abuse is bad as a form of masturbation.
Makes me wonder what Mr. Webster and others were doing when they masturbated.

Masturbation is not bad...
And I have no idea why would anyone say it is. I am sure no one is getting hurt. Its not like someone would leave their spouse for their hand.

If you base your life on the teachings of a 2,006 year old book that advocates slavery, accepts violence towards women, and other nonsense then yes its bad.

its only bad if u do it alot like i have..try not to do it alot..but if u gotta do it do what u gotta do..its the safest sex u will ever have..but than again depends..alotta women masturbate more than men..just women hide it more..
