I've been trying to download Acrobat PDF files to my computer but they are taking FOREVER (like half an hour) for like 10 pages. Is there anything I can do to speed it up and what could be the problem? I have Fast Access DSL from Bell South and the web pages are downloading just fine. HELP!

PDF files are usually pretty big files. It might just be large files, but I wouldn't think it would take 30 minutes. Have you checked to see if everything you download is that slow? It might just be the server you are downloading the pdf files from. Sometimes the speed at which you can download is capped at a certain level for specific files.

The time to download a file depends on the file size and on the connection (fast or slow). It's true that in general PDF files are large.

If you have a fast connection but the person from which you are taking the files (or the server) has a slow connection, it will be slow.

There is not much you can do, sorry.

i have considered some .pdf s that corrupt themselves in downloading. i don't think of you opt to acquire adobe acrobat 7, merely doesn't sound proper to me. attempt to acquire a diverse pdf than those you desire (do merely a Google on pdfs) and be conscious if it is your device.
