Hezbollah won, they didn't let Israel to achieve any of their goals and the number of soldiers killed on the Israeli side was much more then Hezbollah.Israel wanted to destroy Hezbollah in the first two days, but they couldn't ,that's why they started killing children, that was how they showed their power in this war and called it self defense.Hezbollah still has those Israeli soldiers to trade with their ppl in Israeli jails.

Israel did not beat Hizbollah ...
(Hizbollah is not recognized as a terrorist organization in the European Union)
Israel's objectives were ...
To recover their two soldiers ...
NOT ACHIEVED ... the are still held by hizbollah
To stop missile attacks:
ACHIEVED only with CEASE FIRE ... there were 200 shot at Israel on the first day and 250 on the last
To kill the leadership of Hizbollah:
NOT ACHIEVED: The leadership is still intact
To destroy Hizbollah:
NOT ACHIEVED: Today Hizbollah is not only stronger and has more members and supporters than before the war, but it also stronger than it has ever been.
WHY HIZBOLLAH WON:
They still have the two Israeli soldiers
They are still intact
They still have their leadership
They have more support now
They will be crucial in funneling funds from Iran, Syria and other supporters into a rebuilding project that will garner more supporters
LEBANON the nation-state was the real loser
1,098 dead (60 civilian Israeli's dead)
3,500 wounded (300 civilian Israeli's wounded)
1.5 million people displaced (200K for Israel)
7. billion dollars US in damage (20Mil for Israel)
An embargo by Isreal of land & sea that still continues
LEBANON may have not fought this war, but it paid the highest price for it ....

I think the real winner here is Iran.
But of the two Israel will now have Lebanese and U.N. troops between them and Hezbollah, even though under the current circumstances they won't be able to respond with force anymore, I still believe they came out the winner of the two.

Lebanon is the biggest loser in all of this. thanks to Hezbollah's selfish recklessness and Israel's expected brutality. the whole country is dead. rebuilding will cost billions of dollars, the death toll is near 1000, about a million displaced the country is still under siege, the economy is nonexistent. and after all the destruction, no one achieved anything in the end. Hezbollah is still armed and Israel is now occupying the south. and for those who say that lebanon deserves this for letting hizbollah flourish, they should remember that our government was only freed from syrian dominance a year ago, it is still very week and needed all the support it could get. the majority were trying desperatly to disarm hizbollah diplomaticly. but the us and israel found it much quicker to do so by destroying the whole country. well hizbollah is still there and all you acheived was killing hundreds of children and women for israel to defend itself. how the hell are we expected to disarm them and make peace with isreal after all this???

yea, it was between hezbollah and Israel and Israel obviously won because they achieved in disarming hezbollah (their objective, hezbollah can't act without weapons and are nothing) and hezbollah failed theirs: to kill every Jew and take over Israel. All hezbollah accomplished was in maximizing the amount of deaths in innocent lebanese civillians by hiding behind them. If hezbollah doesnt disarm and continues launching their missles then all countries will once again see that terrorists shouldn't be egotiated with but just killed, setting off another war with the Hezbollah killing more civillians from Lebanon.
EVERYONE'S FORGETTING, ISRAEL WAS DEFENDING MEANING THEY WON IN DEFENDING THEMSELVES AND HEZBOLLAH LOST IN DESTROYING ISRAEL AND TAKING IT OVER.
p.s.- if you're from Lebanon, you can't possibly support hezbollah because they're using you as a shield and hiding their weapons in your hospitals and kindergartens making it harder for israel to kill them without maximum damage

It depends. If Lebanon can hold the territory Isreal fought for from the Hezbolla; then both won. If they can't then no one won.

Hezbollah totally won. Why? Because if Israel won, then there would be no HEzbollah, but there still is.
