I'm 4 mos. pregnant and burp more than ever. I always forget to ask my doctor about this. The air that fills my tummy, better known as gas, makes me nauseated from time to time, but rather than throw up I burp. Disgusting I know, but I'm curious.

The main reason is that during pregnancy you have a much higher level of progesterone, a hormone that relaxes smooth muscle tissue throughout your body, including your gastrointestinal tract. This relaxation slows down your digestion, which can lead to gas, burping, and flatulence and bloating especially after a big meal! Which of course we like to have when we are pregnant lol

your swallowing air when drinking or eating, try some otc gas/acid reducer usually a few bucks for a box but make sure it is baby safe, i wouldn't want you to cause harm to your baby

i don't think there is anything wrong but maybe a call to the obgyn nurse for a call back to answer this question might be the best for you

congrats on your baby i wish you the best
