Do you support it as long as nobody wants to pray to Allah or Buddha? Or do you only think it’s a good idea only as long as everyone prays to YOUR God?

I believe that everybody has the right to pray to their own god, but they need to start praying to somebody. Just take a look at the conditions in schools since prayer has been removed. I am only 33 years old and can't remember one time besides a speech that I saw a cop in the school, and now they usually have cops stationed in most schools, along with metal detectors and other screening devices. While we are on that discussion, might as well bring the paddle back to the home and the schools...just maybe it will deter some of the behaviors that modern day psychology has created.

If you don't think that prayer in school already exists, then you never took a chemistry test you didn't study for.

The beauty of America, that is being destroyed little by little, is the fact that individual freedoms, like the ability to pray in school, are supposed to be protected by the constitution. We are trading those liberties to a collectivist society of secular conformity. And it has to stop.

I do not believe in forced prayer.
I do believe that schools should have a 1 or 2 minute quiet period at the beginning of each day in which a person can pray to whoever they want or meditate or just arrange their thoughts.
or doze what ever they want

I think everyone should be able to pray to their own God, whether it be Allah or Buddha.

I think that anyone should be able to worship in their own way at school. I think it is fine for groups to gather to have bible studies, pray or whatever. But, I would feel very uncomfortable if one of my teachers led our class in a prayer of a different religion than mine. But, I wouldn't care if I saw that same teacher praying on his own.

I guess my question is, why can't they pray at home, or church?
If you want a moment to pray in school, find yourself a quiet spot to enjoy it. Otherwise, don't take important time from the school day where we learn about secular pursuits to supplement someone's need for religious devotion. I'm a relatively religious person, but I know what I Church is for, and I know what a Public school is for.

You want your kids to pray in school, send them to private school on your own dime.

I think a moment of silence or meditation period is appropriate in a school. Who people pray to is a decision of individual conscience.

Best wishes and God bless.

The funny thing about this prayer in the schools thing was it was the Jews that complained and had prayer removed. The Conservatives back the Jews 100% because of the military and their ruthlessness. Make up your minds what way you want to go, and quit blaming Democrats for your problems you cause. I'm all for prayer in the schools, I was raised up with it.

There should not be prayer in school. The Pledge and using money with the words God in it should be allowed. I also am uirritated they took Christmas plays out of school for the kids. Now the kids cant even enjoy doing the xmas carols for their kids at Xmas because some ACLU jerkoff was offended

Well since there is only ONE God, OUR God..They should only be aloud to pray to the real God, not some fantasy towelhead that tells people to blow up cizillians
