how to convert a m4a to a mp3?

how do i do that ? i have a song file and its in m4a format and i want it to be in mp3 format can someone PLEASE help me !

Assuming since they are m4a that you have itunes as this is the program to access them. open the songs in iTunes, highlight them all, goto, edit, preferences and the advanced tab. Select the importing tab in there, under "import using" select mp3, then select the rate, the best is 192kbps. Hit ok to accept the changes. Now back in iTunes, select advanced "convert to mp3". that will convert all files you have highlighted to mp3's
