we both decided on getting married but now it is like when are we going to get Engaged

The best time is when you listen to your heart and you feel that you need to get along with this person ever after.
you need to have a support to live together of course,like a good job or to have at least the basic conditions to keep your marriage.

Every relationship evolves at different speeds. Of course the longer you know someone the better the chance the relationship will survive.
Also, dating someone is different than living/being married to someone. This is something you both need to discuss IN the relationship only you two can decide YOUR FUTURE. Life is about taking chances...because there are no guarantees in anything.
Some people get married quickly...and usually their relationship ends quickly too. What happens fast usually doesn't last...

you need to have a plain, know that when you get engaged that your marrage is also looking good, in the way of fiances mostly. Do you have a good job, does he? do you have a place to live once you are married.
Begin to make a plain. But truthfully as long as you love each other thats all that matters.
