There might be an age limit, I am not sure. I got on birth control was i was 17. Of coarse my mom took me though. If you can get your mom to go with you then its not a problem. But if its something you don't want your mom to know then its likely you should not do it. But who am i to tell what not to do. So make an appointment with a gyno Dr. and let them give you a prescription. There is no over the counter.

no there is no age limit you can go to your near by health department it is confidential (or so it was when i started taking them i was 14) just tell them your situation my period was irregular but im glad i got on birth control because i started having sex not long after i was put on the pill for my irregular period! its good that youre taking initiative to get on the pill rather than have a baby (if that is the case) good for you oh and if you go to the health dept they are free where as if you go to a doc you probably have to have insurance and/or pay a copay you cannot get them over the counter because you have to select the one that best suits your body chemistry

you can go to a local "health services agency" office or a Planned Parenthood---and they will test u for STD's and give u condoms and pills or patch which ever u want---there is no cost to you and about the age thing--I dont think they really care about ur age--they just care bout ur safety. I got on the pill at 17 and it was confidential they wont call home and stuff.

Yes, you should be able to get them without parental consent. Contact Planned Parenthood for specifics.

All have to be perscribed by a doctor and yes they can be given to someone under 16 but it is up to the GP. Under paitent confidentiallity the parent won't be told.

If you've hit puberty, then its possible you need them. I'm not aware of any country where they are sold over the counter, you'll almost certainly need a prescription.
