i have a mole on my nose, and i've already seen a dermentoligist but he says i should wait until it gets bigger so it won't scar if he removes it. should i take it off now? it's about half a cm high on my nose. i've seen other people with this problem.. shoujld i get it off? please no rood answers/comments.

Please follow your dermatologist's advice. If you feel strongly, that you cannot wait, get a secong opinion, from a different skin doctor. Moles are tricky. Perhaps your doc wants to ensure that there is enough material to biopsy, when he does remove it. IS it growing. Has he guarenteed that it WILL grow? Sometimes, a mole is attractive. It sounds as though you don't like yours, but, many cultures view moles as "beauty marks," and many people find them very attractive. If you are very unhappy about yours, there is a product, in drugstores, called "MY SPOTS ARE COVERED," which is a thick, spot-foundation, hat comes in a twist-up stick. It's pretty remarkable, I can tell you! You can find in a shade that matches your complexion, and make the mole, virtually, invisible. The dr's answer doesn't make sense???????????? It IS going to leave a scar if it gets bigger? Find another dr. What's he waiting for., the mole to turn into cancer before he cuts it off? I'm serious, get another opinion.

Seems to me the bigger it gets, the more of a scar it would leave. A second opinion seems in order.

Hi there, I have seen this commercial for freezing wrote off. Would you thank that would work the same way.You can buy a tub of freeze off at any drug store & Wal-mart. Good Luck.

if it really noticable and it bothers you i would go ahead and have it removed. I would rather have a little scar then to have a mole on my nose.

No, I don't think you should get it off now and have a scar. Just wait and see what happens.
I know this one guy that has a pink birthmark on his neck. No one makes fun of him because he's nice...

I would honestly rather put up with it now than have a scar forever. Listen to your derm on this one sweetie and find a good make up to cover it.
