i don't think it would be a good idea to take him off the dummy yet... he is still very young. what you can do though is teach him how to hold it and put it in his mouth by himself.
best way to do this is every time he wants it, wrap his hand around it and guide it to his mouth. after doing it once, give him every opportunity to do it himself, but help him less and less.
he'll get it when he starts to see the benefits of doing it himself.
start weaning him off the dummy when you start weaning him off the bottle.
for the juice? well, i guess if he has the dummy,. he'll soon forget about the juice. just make sure he isn't waking because he is actually too hot.

God I remember that, My daughter who is now 8 never slept the whole night until she was about a year and I remember sitting at the top of the stairs crying I was so tired. So happens to us all honey!
Do you only give a dummy at night? Although he is not hungry you could try giving him a little bit of a rusk just before bedtime as well as his last bottle. At the end of the day it's about what works for you, try and get a sleep in the afternoon when he does and if you need a break ask a family member if possible to help you out for a night. Wish i could do more but good luck!

Why the h*ll do people answer this if they don't know what a dummy is? For all you Americans, it is a pacifier, but remember, you speak ENGLISH - meaning that the language is not yours to change - use the original words. Dummy is just short for dummy tit.

Put a bunch of dummies around the crib (a lot of people in the US aren't going to know what you're talking about - we call them 'pacifiers') so he can just reach over and grab one ...and pop it in his mouth. Oh, naughty mummy! Why are you giving him juice at night?! Hello? Cavities! Put a bottle of water in his crib also, so he can help himself. This is what I've done for my son and it's worked. He doesn't wake me up anymore :) Good luck!!!

If he wakes up in the middle of the night then just leave him alone. You are spoiling him by giving into him in the middle of the night. He needs the sleep--not the dummy (whatever that is). Don't go in his room, don't talk to him, just leave him alone. Don't interact with him. If he's not hungry, then he's just a spoiled baby and you need to just leave him alone even if he cries himself back to sleep. Good luck and God bless.

I would suggest not giveing him juice at night it'll dehidrate him and cause him to wake up. If his dummy is his stuffed toy of some sort, put in his crib, give him milk, and let him go to sleep. Try not to let him sleep during the day, if you do make it short naps like 20-30 min. naps once a day, midday. Let him cry it out, he'll tire himself out and go to sleep. He's got to get used to the routine.

You have to let him cry, it is the only way to break him. I know its hard to listen to, but you have to. Once he realizes that he can sleep without it you will have no problems.
*Taking him off it now is a great idea it prevents a major headache in the future*
And baby's do not need them it just soothes them. My mom refused to give me one when I was a baby and I made it through alright!
