For starters, make sure to use a new razor. Shave while you are in the shower, but don't do it first thing. Shower as usual to let the hair soften up a bit before you shave. Use a gel or lots of soap while you are shaving to keep from nicking yourself, rinse the blade often. Just go slow and you should be fine. If you haven't shaved down there before, you may want to trim the hair with scissors first.

Make sure you are nice and lathered up at all times, and use warm water, for some reason that seems to work better. Shave in one direction, with the grain.

Just do it, you won't cut them like you think. Use a good razor with at least 3 blades to be safe. Pull the skin taut and just do it.

be careful and use long slow stokes OR you could get them waxed and it all be over with OR you could get the hair lasered off.
