Im not talking about specific advice, but more general advice.
As an example, I just suggested to a girl
"Whenever you are emotional, or whenever you do anything really, always consider what you want to achieve out of it. Consider the goal, before you consider the action."
I obviously think that is good advice, otherwise I would not have given it.... You get what I'm looking for anyway, could you please tell me some good general advice????

The best advice I have ever received is simply this:
Whenever there is a lot of chaos in your life - when everything seems to be going wrong - know that you are ready to move to the next level.
This has gotten me through so many things...and has helped me keep the faith when it got crazy. To know that chaos is a good thing, meaning a big change is coming and you are emerging onto a new level, a new chapter of your life, is simply riveting to me.

You only travel through this life once is the best advice ever given to me by my mother. I like yours though, consider the goal before you consider the action. Very good.

my mom always says "f*** the dumb sh**" and its pretty easy to apply in any situation. if ppl r talking crap about me, i think 'in a year is this going to matter all that much to me?' and so on
