I live with a roommate and our lease will be up at the end of November. Someone has asked me to move in with them at that time, and that's what I want to do. How do I bring it up to my roommate? I don't want to make him upset, but I would rather live with the other person.

It's better to be honest with him and do it as soon as possible so he has time to find another roomate.

Tell him that when the lease is up you'll be going smewhere else, but do it soon so he has a chance to find another room mate, he may be sore with you now, but he'd be even madder if you just left him hanging.
