Yes.

As computer-readable files such as mp3 or wma. But don't expect it to be playable on any device other than your computer. Most CD and DVD players can't read mp3 or wma DVD-Rs, only CD-R/RWs.

You should be able to burn music files to a blank DVD. I don't think there's actually a format for it other than data disc however. Newer model DVD players will still play ythem as well as some stereo systems. Of course your computer would be able to read them as well. Lots of room, but a little of a pain to access later.

you may burn music archives to a DVDr. in certainty, that's a super thank you to back up your music reason you may in positive condition so lots greater archives on a DVD than on a CD. yet, they won't play on a generic CD participant, in hassle-free terms with the aid of a DVD participant or computing gadget.

yeah, you can save it to disk since they're just files, but most cd players won't accept them.

One idea though is to burn your music files to DVD-R, and use Windows media player or Apple ITunes to play the files off the disk, like a jukebox.
