Okay have you ever experienced this before in your lifetime? You are lying in bed and you are at that state of drifting to sleep, where you are tried but you have lots of thoughts and things running through your head that you are still half awake. Finally you fall asleep, but then a couple of minutes pass not hours and you are startled and awake up to see a dark figure or shadow hovering over you. You blink twice and it disappears then you feel like there is something still present in your room, but it is nothing. Is this a ghost, a sprit of someone I know, or it is something evil haunting me? This is serious and it has happened to me twice in one month, should I worry?

Could be a spirit, if you believe in them, or just a lucid dream. This happens sometimes in the few seconds after you are woken up from a normal dream, and your dream turns into a lucid dream that caries on when you are just waking up.
If you think that you may be unfortunate enough to be encountering an unfriendly entity, it might be worth trying to visualise a protective shield surrounding you......this may sound quite weird, but it does work. It is difficult to explain the technique, but there are several psychic self-defence on the market these days....its worth a try. If you believe that this is just a dream, try a relaxation technique befor going to bed, as these dreams can sometimes be triggered by stress in your wakeing hours, and anything that may be worrying you, can affect the way that you sleep.
Hope this helps you.

ok heres the thing it could be psychic projection or what most people call astral project it is a borderline state betwen sleep and awake and borderline between this plane and another plane of existence. are you afraid when you see the figure? It mainly deals with the fluxuation between one plane and another. and a ghost is like a photographic imprint. it is resonates buildings areas resonates everything vibrates with a certain sequencry unique to its nature. so therefore what you call a ghost is a resonance a vibrational memeory of what has been. some what the emotional or mental energy of a past condition or experience.

You can actually have mini-hallucinations in the period of semi-consciousness when you are just falling asleep. Its a natural biologic process. You may have noticed it the first time because you were having a harder time falling asleep. Since it startled you so much, you're now hyper-aware of the phenomenon and are noticing it more when it happens. Its completely normal and nothing to worry about.

No, it hasn't happened to me, but I wish it would. I don't believe the spirit is there to cause you harm or is evil. I believe it is someone you loved and they are just watching over you.
