I thought people that there were different words for people who read left to right and people that read right to left. No luck at dictionary dot com

The ox one is great, but it isn't what I was looking for.

I thought there was a word for text that is read left to right.

and

a different or similar word for text that was read right to left.

"boustrophedon" which in Greek means "as the ox turns."

I don't know the literal term, but this is the original right-left, left-right, right-left, efficient way of writing.

My teacher had me write down the word twenty times and used it in our spelling bee.

It describes the way a scribe used to write words following a pattern of how a farmer works. Writing to one end of the page, and not lifting his tool to write back to the other end.

Reading from left to right is normal in American culture. I think the Japanese, especially in Manga, read from right to left.
