I been separated now for 2 years and going on year number 3! Most times dating sites and personals require you to be single, divorice or widow. What do you do when you are in limbo due to the process? I live alone and have my own place.

Dating is fine and there are many sites that have 'seperated' as an option, so the others know. But it's no crime, so have fun.
You just need to look in other places if some places block you.

Divorce is a legal process only. If you and your STBX are agreed on the freedom to date, go for it. I am only separated a few months and I've told my wife it may happen. We are not working on reconciliation now, and we may never be. You just have to be honest with all parties involved.
I think people that have never been married and are younger have a harder time with it, but divorced people, separated people, and older people that never married have a bit more 'seasoned' look at the logistics...
The most important thing is to look out for other people's feelings. Don't set false exepctations!

Well to me once you have lived away from the X especially almost 3 years to me that's being single...In the laws eyes you are still married and the X can get you for adultery.Which doesn't make any sense to me once you have filed for divorce to me should be over but, not by law... Just have fun be careful and hurry up get your divorce that way you don't have to hide anymore!

You need time away from the opposite sex to greive and gain your own composure. Once you are happy again with life, on your own, then you are ready to date again. To me, this sounds like co-dependancy...if you are already dating and not even divorced.
