My goodness, an interesting question at last.

According to Canadian studies of large predators in the Yukon, smaller animals do, indeed, weep during a violent (hopeless) encounter with a larger animal. In fact, they will shriek as it becomes clear that their demise is inevitable.

Interestingly, in many long-standing predator-prey relationships, the distress of the animal in terror actually causes the predator to attack more vehemently and with more urgency. It seems that the hormones are released in the predator's brain by the natural 'crying' sounds of the prey.

Quite disturbing, but true.

They sure do feel pain and react accordingly.

Nature is a very dangerous place and life is very fragile, unlike some would have you to believe. Some of those types just can't accept the fact that some animals kill others after all they've done to protect "nature".

Case in point...I was running around a lake a week ago and saw a 50-60 year old woman feeding a flock of geese (which is barred by signs posted all around the lake). They started fighting over the bread that she was throwing out to them. I saw several of them trying to bite each others necks. You wouldn't believe the noise that the bitten geese were making, it put that woman into shock. Judging from her appearance, she must have been horrified by causing pain & suffering in nature. I bet she doesn't feed the geese anymore!

Well, let's round up a tiger or lion, put them in a cage with you and see if YOU cry out. You ARE an animal after all.

Did any one care to think that NO animal is eaten alive, that the predator KILLS the prey LONG before it starts chowing down????
You guys get all riled up for nothing.
No animal is ALIVE while it is being eaten. Plain and simple. Even snakes usually break the neck of the prey they eat before swallowing it whole. Can you believe how gullible all of you are, for thinking this to even be possible?
