im in the market for a dual core laptop in the price range of $2000 im considering an dell inspiron 9400,6400 and toshiba qosmio G35-AV600 i want a desktop repalcement and i dont care if its heavy either.....if u got any good suggestions please do help me out im also confused if i should wait till the new core 2 duo comes out please lend me your ears people!!!!
p.s is the geforce 7900gs card worth all the hype??

I love Dell computers, but if your budget is $2K, then I suggest giving the Mac with Intel inside a try. If I could buy it I would, the ability to run two major operating systems on one machine!

I would suggest that you go with a Toshiba because they hold up ALOT better than Dell.

Wether or not you wait for the new one depends on what you are going to be doing. If you want to play games on it, wait for the new one or find one with a 256/512mb PCI card installed. If not playing high-end games, settle an older model. The qosmio is a good all around choice.

Again, I reccomend getting a toshiba.

I have a Sony Vaio and I love it. The picture is big and clear. And it was priced right.
