Hardly, I haven't seen anything on TV about this crap since the FOX "special" 5 years ago...
Noone but fools, and people with way too much time on there hands are saying that it didnt happen.
We did go, end of story.

I will re-post my original argument. To critics, all I must say is I can prove we weren't there, and the only proof you have that we were there comes from our government in a time when getting to the moon would change the outcome of the world order. Mock me if you want, I have science to back it up, most contradictory responses just point out the conspiracy theory instead of the facts, which I will mention. NO ONE except the people that "stepped foot" on the moon truly know if we ever made it there, my debate is simply that the video tape of the moon landing is staged. Also take into account (which i forgot to mention earlier) that the piolet of the space craft did not successfully ONCE land it during training WITH GRAVITY.
I am currently a double major of mathematics and ASTROPHYSICS (yes this is what guys at NASA would have majored in) at a well known University, and I can say we have spent some time trying to put and answer to this question; a question that has been highly debated in the scientific community since the 70's. I find it convenient that NASA "lost" the lone evidence of one of the most important historic events in WORLD history. When the facts are broken down, the only logical explaination is that the moon landing was staged. Consider these facts.
1. In the videotape, the shadows of the ship, flag, and Buzz Aldrin are all facing the wrong direction. The way the sunlight reflects off the moon, the shadows should have been on the other side. The governments response? They landed on the dark side. The scientific community scoffs at this simple explaination for two reasons. One, there is NO LIGHT WHATSOEVER on the dark side, which would have made is nearly impossible to see anything in the video. Two, the dark side is thought to be colder then 0 degrees K, which is -273 degrees F. Those temperatures would most likely freeze any instrumentation.
2. The American flag, gloriously blowing in the wind seems to be the most obvious, glaring red flag. There is no lunar wind, which means the flag would not have been waving as it was, because there is no wind. Another question one might ask themselves is how come no one has ever seen this flag on the moon, with any degree of high powered telescope? Hmmmmm....
3. As the ship takes off from the surface of the moon, there is no displacement of dust, rock, or any other form of matter. One thing we do know about the moon is that the surface is covered with a loose dust like sediment, and certainly a space ship taking off or landing would have undoubtedly displaced some dust.
4. Why havent we, or anyone for that matter, been back? It does not seem to be the habit of human beings to go someplace once, stay for 5 minutes, and then leave never to return to further explore.
5. Last, but not least, how do they communicate with Houston from the moon via a wireless headset, when I still get no cell phone signal in my house? I find it baffling that cell phone technology came out nearly 30 years after something as advanced as a moon to earth wireless communication system. How would they have tested this technology to ensure it will work from the moon???
I think that the tape will turn up in a few months, most likely with some subtle changes that the government will deny were ever different. I think they realized that the staging was poorly planned and are simply correcting it right now. I wont say that we didnt land on the moon, because no one knows that except the people that were there, but I can say that there is absolutely no way that the moon landing video was filmed on the surface of the moon.
It's as simple as that. Until someone has cold hard facts refuting this proven evidence, instead of throwing an insult, I suggest you get your story straight or fly to the moon yourself.

Dunc cannot be a mathematics major. He's got no science at all.
The ignorance of some of these people.
There is refutation of all this Dunc guy says. Simple things that make the moon different to Earth.
One of the things people find hard is coming to terms with the alienness of space. The moon has no wind, but that also works in favour of a flapping flag. Once you shake the stick the flag will go on shaking.
The dust on take off – on earth dust once kicked up rides on their air and takes time to settle. On the moon, with no air, a dust grain will sink (yes, idiot Dunc, the moon has substantial gravity, one-sixth earth). The dust grains will sink as fast as a ten ton rock would sink.
This guy cannot be a scientist, because he just cannot get his little brain around these environmental differences between moon and Earth.
Also, communication. What an idiot. Does this Dick also deny the two rovers that have been roving around Mars for 18 months plus? They are controlled by communication from Earth hundreds of times as far away as the moon.
Also, in the year or so before moon landings, both the Russians and the Americans landed probes on the moon and transmitted back pictures. Transmission is a easy from the moon.
Also, why is the moon landings so unbelievable to these people. We land put men and women into space all the time and bring them back to six times the gravity of the moon. Theoretically the moon is easier – it just does not have nice oceans to plop into.
The only thing that halted the moon missions is money, certainly not technology, though I would think there was a whole lot of luck involved in getting men off the moon – just one little fault in the rocket mechanism of the lander and the astronauts would have been stranded. But those were the risks. Men died in the Apollo program and Apollo 13 just about made it back. It was risky, but hell not as risky as sending soldiers to the Middle east, eh?
Please folks, do not listen to people who claim science and have none. It is absolutely ludicrous and insane to deny the moon landings and the people who do are just a little sick in the head and of the mindset that trusts no-one. To me they are little removed from people who strap explosives to themselves and destroy other people’s lives – it is all subversiveness or rebelliousness, and we don’t need any more of it in this world.

Considering that Americans are among the most laughably ignorant people in the world, especially on worthy things like science, math and current world affairs, I'm not surprised. It's predictable.
But then again, the government has no right to expect our trust, since they bastardised any pretense to integrity far beyond all repair 1000 times too many.
I don't however, believe they faked the moon landing. They don't have the collective intelligence or resources to get away with it successfully regardless of their to-the-bone flagrant, transparent corruption..
"Up to 30% of Americans already believe the landing was faked in a desperate ploy to make good JFK's promise to get a man on the moon by the end of the decade and thus beat the Soviets."

Where do they get these people ?

Yeah I've heard of these things too. Well, the ego clashes betweem us and the Russians was so great during that time, it would seem possible that either side would use any means to downplay the other. Personally, I dont think its true - I mean, man has decidedly gone much further than the moon now.

People just like a good conspiracy theory. It's because its easier to provoke interest in a story by claiming that it was a government cover up than by finding out the facts. It's just people being lazy. They'll be saying the same about 9/11 soon.

What did you do in history class?
Well, I'm not surprised hardly anyone actually pays attention in history, except for the individuals who really enjoy learning.
The United States of North America did send a few men to the moon, at great expense and sacrafice.

That's crap. The only thing that has come out lately is that NASA lost the original tapes of the moon landing...which have the best quality. There is actually proof of the U.S. on the moon....Private satelite imagery has captured images of the flag and landing site, so that should end any rumor.

People love a good conspiracy theory.
It's the same logic behind people saying that UFOs are real. This is assuming that these aliens are smart enough to traverse these interstellar distances, only to be stupid enough to try and hide their presence but still using ridiculously bright lights on the exterior of their spacecraft. Despite all logic or in light of any hard scientific evidence to the contrary, people still like to believe in something extraordinary.

Yes. Apparently we don't ever fly either. Its a bus filled with a hallucinogenic and we think we are flying. Not only that the things we see in the air are balloons! Actually I have heard this rumor and I think it was first brought to my attention on the Steven Colbert site.
