Your friend may be more sensitive than you are. Let him know you didn't mean to offend him, and you do not consider conversations with him to be a waste of time, just that you saw no point in texting when it is more convenient and a lot easier for both of you to talk online. If he is still upset, then I guess there's nothing for it but to wait for him to calm down. You shouldn't need to apologize more than once, and if he still refuses to forgive you, then he's just lost himself a friend for an extremely stupid reason.

I think a lot of the times text messages and msn conversations can be misinterpreted because you don't hear the tone of voice or see facial expressions. Don't text him! RING HIM...you have his number...say sorry and explain...and he will be able to hear that you are sincere and hopefully all will be sorted!!.. If he doesn't accept your apology after that then forget about him and the chances are that he will get back in touch with you soon...Hope this helps..and good luck!!

If he can dish it out but not get anything dished to him then you shouldn't really worry about it.. but on the other hand maybe he was really likeing the fact that you were all texting him and stuff.. and then you said you didn't want to waste your time with him.. wich would be kinda mean.. so you should just say sorry and then ask him if you both are cool..

I would be offended by it. Maybe putting 'hehe' at the end of it may have made it more obvious that it was a joke. And wording it differently might have been better. My advice is to text him and say sorry, it was only meant as a joke. Am sure he will forgive you.

OH YES! He is really upset with you. If he gets that upset over a simple logical statement, he is emotionally insecure and probably not the best person for you to communicate with. Don't put yourself down over it. It is not worth it, because there are always others that you can chat with
and be understanding friends with.

You should just ask him, next time he's online start the conversation and ask if you offended him and that you're sorry if you did. It might turn out he wasnt offended at all, if you dont ask you wont know.

Start up a conversion with him and then ask him if what you said offended him. For all you know he might have been busy or something. Give him a chance to redeem himself

I shouldn't worry about this too much, It sounds like he got a taste of his own medicine and came as a bit of a shock. he will come round and start chatting again.
Or you could be the first to start chatting as if nothing had happened.

Why don't you just ask him? Tell him that you feel like he got offended at you and get things straightened out. What have you got to lose by being open with him.
