NASA lost the original tapes to the 'moon landing'. Considering todays computing power I wonder if someone was worried that someone else could scan the tapes and figure out if the stars in the background were aligned correctly. Hmmm... What do you all think?

I've got a copy of them right here in my living room. NASA sold the video and 16mm cine footage of the Apollo 11 mission with a publication called Apollo 11: The NASA Mission Reports volume 2 (ISBN 1896522491). In fact the thing about there being no stars visible on any of the pictures is also untrue as I recall.

USA government agencies are just good at loosing stuff... And having communications break-downs at the most convenient moments. Think 911... But I'm pretty confident the moon landing happened. C'mon you think Sovient Union would have just watched american TV, and be like... "Oh ok, they landed first, oh well, next time guys"... C'mon?

We will never know, though it would be nice if the American public were told the truth sometimes. By now we wouldn't the truth if it jumped up and bit us on the ___!!
