Chinchillas because they are the only odorless rodent. In addition, they are so soft and cute. You have to love those things.

Of the Sciuromorpha group: I like the beaver! Yes, the beaver is in the rodent family. He's cute and furry and has that big fat tail.
They are the second largest rodents, semi-aquatic, with razor sharp fangs, and grow to 50+lbs

All rodents are nasty, really.
I guess I would like squirrels the best because they're kinda cute and they seem to hurt anything.

Rats!! They are the smartest. You can train them. They will be glad to see you when you come home. My kids had a pair when they were little. Fee Fee and Dee Dee. Black & white rats. I would put Fee Fee on my shoulder when I did gardening. She would stay there & would never pee on me! (we had mice, hamsters & gerbils--all were dumb. Guinea pigs are smarter & nice but they did pee on us!

Squirrels because they are so indecisive. You've seen them...run into the road, a car is coming...which way do I run...which way do I run....
