in the dishwasher. I'm a religious hat wearer, and when a friend told me to wash it in the dishwasher I thought he was nuts. Until I tried it. Works really well. The washing machine will just warp the hat.

I just throw mine into the washing machine. There are hat forms you can buy to help your hat maintain it's shape.

Put them in the washing machine on delicate. DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE DRYER. Take them out of the washer and put them on something round (something that acts as a head) to keep its form while it dries. My wife has a glass iced tea pitcher that I use.

I take my hats to the dry cleaners. You can go to lids.com and buy some stuff to wash your hats.
