Does Yahoo or everyone else? How does it matter? i mean, do u get points for thumbs up>?

I've started doing them the other day, shortly after i noticed the change. I don't know whether we, or the answers, get points or not. In my opinion, though, it's pretty cool because the asker gets to choose a "best" answer, but maybe people appreciated another answer better. At least this way, you can see that your answer had some relelvance to SOMEone.

If the question (or answer) is really a good one - I'll give it a thumbs up! If it's a really bad one I'll give it a thumbs down. If not I skip it!
No points are awarded anymore for this.

It is up to the people who answer the questions...if it is a good question thumbs up and if it is bad thumbs down.

Everyone gets to choose a thumbs-up or down on each question and answer. But you don't get points for doing it. :( And people don't get points for receiving thumbs-up either.

i do, you used to get 1 point for a thumbs up. but i dont think you do anymore

The other participants gives 'em. If your answer was selected as best, you gain a point if somebody gives a thumbs-up for your answer.

i always do just to appreciate the people who take the time to ask or answer questions i think its a nice gesture regardless of points

I used to, becasue you used to get a point for it, but they took away the points so now I don;t bother
