During trial, and often after sentencing serial killers receive hundreds of female love letters. In numerous instances guilty murderers have been married to women after their crimes were publicly acknowledged. Why would someone think Manson, Bundy, or Ramirez is sexy?

Because they're dangerous and to some women fear is sexy. There's also the element of the unknown and unpredictable. He would be the super bad-boy. A serial killer may also be attractive because he's done things that most people would probably never even think about and that may make him unusual. There are also the masochists who enjoy pain and those who go farther and fantasize about death during sex, so a serial killer may be just what they're looking for. I can understand being interested in serial killers and watching shows or reading books about them, but I don't know about being attracted physically to one. I personally want a relationship where I can stay alive and unhurt (physically anyway).

well as i find this question to be a bit odd...it is very fun to answer too. Well there are many different chemicals that make up your barin. These chemicals also control your thought and emotions. As funny as it is that you are attracted to "serial killers" that is not reallt the true attraction. You are attracted to the power and excitement and thril of this type of personality. As long as you dont feel the need to go kill people...or think it is ok to do so....then it is ok to feel what you feel. this is that makes you who you are and sets you apart for other. For me, i find all kinds of things attractive and perhaps some even turn me on. it is who you are.

I think that the reason people are so attracted to serial killers is because we wish we could be more like them. Not in the sense of killing people, but rather just letting ourselves go. In a way serial killers seem free to us because they don't care about how others feel or the consequences. I think that people want to feel that way, like they can do whatever they want and be able to get away with it. People in our society feel as though they aren't always able to express themselves or do the things they want to do because of how people would view them. Serial killers don't care, which in it's way is a form of power. People are attracted to power.

the thing is some women were brought up in abusive homes and they have gotten so used to abuse that they seek it to feel normal and alive. also some women seem to think they can fix someone else and in turn end up being the next victim of the serial killer. or they seek a thrill of fearing for the adrenaline rush. take my sister for example her husband beat her up daily tried to run her over with a truck does drugs daily like there is no tomorrow she was brought up in an abusive home. there are some reasons.

Some women fantasize about the needy male. It feeds the desire of some women to `nurture' or help these guys get better. In a distorted sort of way, it plays into their maternal instinct. For these type women, it is the same as a guy who likes to buy old cars and fix them up.....only the women are dealing with very real people.

Because, deep down inside they're just people like you and me. The only thing is, I'd never kill. So in reality, it's not that they're attractive, it's just that they're not UN attractive, get what i mean? Girls don't just go after those guys, they go after any tough guy with a backbone. But this is what happens when a guy has too much of a backbone - he thinks he's better than everybody else, and he wants to kill.

Because deep down, they have serious mental issues that need to be addressed. Just a guess. Being female, I have never found myself attracted to serial killers. So I really have no idea.

the women that choose to be in a "relationship" w/men who are serving long sentences--life, are afraid of real relationships. That is my theory. I think these women feel emotionally safer w/men that can not really interact w/them on an every-day basis, be a part of their lives, and are therefore, less of risk. These women have issues of abandonment/rejection & men behind bars can't really leave them. Also, these women have a need to "mother"
someone, and often, delude themselves in believing the man is innocent and only she can "save" him. I believe these women have lo-selfesteem & are otherwise plagued by mental issues!

I think these women have very low self esteem and think that they do not deserve a good person. They believe that they can redeem themselves by helping to redeem these immoral murdering deviants.

I think others have summed it up far more eloquently than I ever could:

1. Theme to "Cops": Bad boy, bad boys, whatcha gonna do? Watcha gonna do when they come for you?

2. Gloria Estefan singing "Bad Boys": Bad, bad, bad, bad, boys...... they make me feel so good!

Pop culture and human nature trumps decent morals and good judgment every time!!! LOL!!!
