In a warm enviroment, what is the longest sperm can last?

Say, if I am in my "fertile" time, what is the exact longest time sperm would last in the vagina once ejaculated? (example, semen was deposited on Aug 8th....how long would that have lasted if I was "fertile" and it was the right enviroment for sperm?)

The maximum is believed to be 5 days for human spermatozoa. Here is an excerpt from www. faqfarm:

It is a fact that sperm can live up to 4-5 days in your body, contrary to anything else you may have heard or read. In addition to this fact, the egg released can live between 24-48 hours.
