Last night some children (probably arond 16 years old) started throwing stones at my house resulting in broken windows. I dont know what action to take if they return again tonight. Involving the police may cause me to be more of a target, shouting will prob encourage them to do it some more. What can i do in such circumstances?

Call the police. Ask them to cruise around the area then you won't be obviously the one who called them.

Im a teenager, some of my friends tend to do things like what you are saying, ive found that the most effective way to "treat this problem" is to go to the local sporting goods store, buy a $15 slingshot and $20 in camo, hide in a bush, and when they come up hit one of them right in the gut with a light rock.... AND DONT GIVE AWAY YOUR POSTION... if you do it right they will run like they are being shot at and never come back....

Next time, stand in the front door with a gun (real or not) and stare at them. They think they were so tough that one night, but watch...
If you use a fake gun such as a water gun, put dye or vinegar in it. Just in case you have to shoot them.
This could be taken as a joke, but I know teenage boys and they'll piss their pants.

Next time they throw some stones....Fire some shots from a shotgun. That will scare the hell out of them. And they probably won't ever come back.

This is what I would do . . . Around the same time that they did it last night go and sit on your porch and when you see them approaching start shooting a gun up in the air. Don't shoot at them, just up in the air to scare them. That otta teach em to mess with your house anymore.

That sucks. I dunno.. I guess while you're having your windows repaired you could inquire as to a specific type that is very durable... this is a tricky one! I would probably call the police. I guess if they come back you could just yell out the window or door and tell them that you're going to call the police if they don't leave immediately. Hhmm. Good Luck!

Call the cops. You won't ever get your windows fixed if you don't call the cops--you have to have a court case to get restitution or coerce the little f**kers into fixing what they broke, and you won't get your insurance to fix any vandalism without a police report.
You're already a target! Call the cops--call them now.

set up video cameras where they can't see them. Catch them so you get the right ones. After two or three go to jail and have some community service it should stop all together

Have you spoken with their parents? Can you get them doing it on video? You may need proof if you want the cops to do anything about it. They will come and you can file a complaint, but that doesn't mean that it will be resolved.
