Wear it girl...and look fabulous. Dont mind what everyone else says... sashe, honey!! Make sure you have the boldness and the cofindence to wear it, though. If you're meek and wear something bold... not a good fit. Wear something that you'll blend into the background witht the rest. But if you are a lil fire-cracker...go for it!

Now days its pretty acceptable to wear anything except white to a wedding. The only person who should wear white is the bride other than that everything is fair game. I don't see any big difference between red and garnet in terms of etiquette. I say go for it.

I would avoid bright reds, but the garnet sounds beautiful. I think those strict rules about weddings are fading. I see lots of people wearing black to weddings.

Garnet sounds fine. The trick is not to outshine the bride.A really fire-engine-screaming red would steal the spotlight from the bride, but garnet is subtle and fall-appropriate.

You can wear whatever color you want to a wedding, just don't wear black, and some brides don't like if you wear white. Red seems the perfect color to wear to a fall wedding! Go for it!

Etiquette in the past said you should not wear white (that's the brides color) black (your not at a funeral) or red (draws to much attention) I usually don't wear these colors, but been to dozens of weddings and seen people wear them.
