The basic idea: There is this survivor-esque reality show, but it turns out that the contestents are competing for the cure to a virus they've been injected with. Each week, all but one gets the cure, slowly eliminating each person.

I read a series like that a few years ago and the names of thoes books were Island. Im not sure that these are the books that you are looking for. I would think that asking the librarian would be a wonderful thing. Also if anyone elce you know read the book then you should ask them.

Isn't that kind of similar to the plot of Saw 2 - minus the reality show plot?
