I know this friend of mine who tries to compare herself to me quite a bit. If I do something, she will sometimes try the same thing after I did it just to see if she can. Also, she will ask questions like, how tall I am and say that she is the same height. Why the heck is she doing this?

I forgot to mention that we have been good friends for a while, and she started this lately. Also, I am a guy.

She probably looks at you as a role model. I do some of the same things to my best friend, and she does to me as well. WE both take it as a sign of friendship and thats all. Good luck

This is the best form of flattery. She is probably a little jealous and has low self esteem. You probably have a confidence she hopes mocking you will help her obtain. You may have more friends than her or get more compliments than her. Just comment on the things she does that are unique. Just keep the comments positive. Like " you are really good at baseball "." I love that shirt you are wearing. It isn't my style but it totally works for you." This why she will know that you really like her for herself.

Maybe it is that she thinks of u as a brother and sister compare alot. Or maybe she just want to be like u. She may also have low self asteam. sence ur a guy she just want to prove to u that she can to anythink u can do. So people feel like they have to prove them selves.

People are just anoying like that, its something we face all over, sometimes it works if you give them a taste of their own medicine, that should piss her off alittle..u ask her questions and when she answers tell her nahh i hate that disagree till you cant disagree anymore...iif she asks you a question ask her what she thinks first!!
.........Thats all i have to add

she thinks of you as a rolemodel, youre someone she looks up to. but if its reallly bothering you,you need to talk to her about it.Tell yher its very flattering, but she sometimes needs to be her own person,bc im sure shes great.Try getting to know her before you do anything harsh.

you are the benchmark upon which she sets her self, be flattered not angry, not evey one can lead, but do by example.
yourimage is how she sees herself ,she probaly suffers from low selfesteem. help her, dont mock her.
