there are not enough words in the english language to describe how much the cubs suck. their fans are whiny big babies, "there is always next year" come on how long have they been saying that and still have come up with nothing, 2003 was a joke, blaming that guy who caught the foul ball, the cubs would have lost that game no matter what.they allways have an excuse why they lose, the wind, they have to many day games, the fans are booing, if they played good baseball then they wouldnt get boos, 98 years of lossing and still going strong!
GO SOX----THE CUBS $%^@ING SUCK!!!!

The cubs are the most pathetic professional sports franchise in the history of teams 100 years or older. They are so terrible that they set new standards on how to suck at baseball and ruin a season. The owners are terrible, the manager is a choke artist, and the coaches and managers have a documented history of mismanaging and ruining good players carrers. Baseball is my favorite sport, and the cubs are by far the most pitiful team that I have ever seen on a MLB field. The Florida Marlins are a pretty weak team but they can get right every once in a while. The Marlins are bad, but they can play well for a year and actually win a world series. The Cubs are just plain bad, and can't even get to a world series. The marlins have had horrible seasons, but have won 2 WS championships in 10 years. The cubs have been worse than that for 98 years,
Tell me this cubs fans, would you rather have you team that always sucks, and never wins. Or would you rather have a team like Florida that usually sucks, but can win once every 10 years. I will take the winning team and never root for the looser cubs again. Being a cub fan is like asking for punishment. Cubs fans are the most whining, cry-baby, jealous, looser-lovers in any sport. If I lived in chicago, I would never cheer for the cubs, I am smarter than that. The only people that like the cubs are blind people that don' t know better.

How could you hate the hapless Cubbies? That's like hating the Generals, thr team that always used to get beat on by the Harlem Globetrotters. They haven't won a championship in almost 100 years, and it doesn't look like they're gonna win one anytime soon either. I feel bad for them.

I'm not an NL guy and I can't build up hatred for a team that does nothing. I just feel sorry for them and their fans. I get why they are popular but that team seems cursed and, unlike the Red ad White Sox, seems unable to get over the hump.

Zambrano dominated Houston for the third time this season and Phil Nevin homered and drove in all three runs to lead the Chicago Cubs to a 3-0 victory over the Astros.
Zambrano (13-5) allowed four hits and struck out five in eight innings to improve to 6-1 at Minute Maid Park.
"I felt strong the whole game," said Zambrano, who threw 121 pitches.
Astros starter Roy Oswalt was hit in the right wrist by Ronny Cedeno's line drive in the seventh. Oswalt retired two batters to finish the inning, then left the game and was listed as day-to-day.
"He's going to be a little sore," Houston manager Phil Garner said. "But right now, we're thinking he's going to be able to make his next start."
Zambrano, who had a one-hit shutout in Houston on June 5, spent most of this night avoiding trouble. His outing also included seven walks, a wild pitch and a hit batter. However, the flustered Astros -- with an NL-worst .258 batting average -- stranded nine runners and dropped their third straight game.
"If you walk somebody, you just have to get the next hitter out," Zambrano said. "You can't be frustrated about walks or who is on base. If you've got good stuff that night, you're good enough to get the next hitter out."
Cubs manager Dusty Baker didn't hesitate to send Zambrano out for the eighth. After walking Aubrey Huff, Zambrano retired the next three in order.
"He was still dealing, he was still throwing the ball good," Baker said. "It's hard to take a guy out when he's throwing like that."
Ryan Dempster pitched a scoreless ninth for his 12th consecutive save, and 24th in 29 chances.
Zambrano didn't retire the Astros in order until the seventh, but still outpitched Oswalt (9-8) who had won three of his last four decisions.
Oswalt struck out four, but allowed seven hits, including Nevin's homer in the fourth.
The Astros threatened for the first time in the third inning. Willy Taveras beat out a bunt with one out, extending his career-best hitting streak to 17 games. He went to second on a wild pitch and reached third when Craig Biggio grounded out.
Zambrano walked Lance Berkman, then hit Huff with a fastball in the middle of his back to load the bases. But Zambrano escaped by striking out Morgan Ensberg.
In the fourth, Luke Scott doubled to right-center and Brad Ausmus drew a one-out walk. Oswalt bunted them ahead, but Taveras grounded out.
"We had him on the ropes," Garner said, "but we were never able to get him."
Scott, batting .429 since he was called up from Triple-A Round Rock on July 14, led off the sixth with another double. Zambrano walked Adam Everett, but Ausmus grounded into a double play for the second time and Oswalt grounded out on Zambrano's 98th pitch. They Suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
