I'm looking to purchase a good conditioned used Rav 4 or a Jeep Liberty... Anybody's opinion on what they think is better let me know - whether from word of mouth or actual experiance....

Personally, I would never buy a Jeep Liberty let alone any american made car. I highly recommend the RAV4 over the Jeep Liberty. For more information on both cars a good online resource is:

Along with the information they will show locally what is available via dealers/sellers of the vehicle you want along with a fair market price for the vehicle in your neighborhood.

I like the Rav 4, the new ones are really nice also- they ride nice. In my opinion the Jeep liberty is kind of a rough ride...not really smooth at all. You should look on Consumer Reports to look at pros and cons also...it helps!

No, seriously, between the two I would go with the Toyota, the couple of people I knew with Jeeps were always having problems. Toyotas are generally very dependable.

most always toyota cars are great and will last much longer, but best to go to edmunds.com and you can compare them under used cars and see what owners say and how they hold up price wise. if I had a chose and they were about the same price the rav 4 is what I;'d buy.

Go with te Toyota, rated top 5. The Jeep is actually rated rated way low in reliability, even Hyundai is above it.
I'm not making this up, this is according to J.D. Powers.

go with the toyota because all jeeps are gas hogs and toyota is such a long lasting car company

i like the rav4 ,,, the jeep to me was very bumpy riding and not a great car over all,,,,, go rav

what possible use do you have for such a vehicle? Buy something smaller and more fuel efficent. look at the escalating price of gas. or maybe you are independently wealthy and need not concern yourself with such trivial concerns
