Not necessarily mysterious . . . maybe quaint and nostalgic. Kind of like railroad roundhouses, drive-in movies, hand-operated water pumps, and bon-bons sold by the pound in department stores. You don't see them much, there's really not a whole lot of use for them anymore, but they are kind of neat and interesting.

yes they are and the people who had lived in them were truely something else to look up to. the lighthouses that i have seen are haunted to no end.

It's only because lighthouse keepers are mysterious and brooding that we have that image.

Yes, i do...they are places that all can see yet few venture into...and they pretty much come with a beach and an ocean view standard.;)
