Who would win in a battle between Star Wars and Star Trek ?

It depends what ships each side brought. For example in the death star was there star wars would definatly win. But is the death star was not present but the borgs were, star trek would win. If it came to a strait slugging match between say a star destroyer and oh say the enterprise, I think the star destroyer would win, because of better shields, but that match would be close. Overall I think star wars has a better fighting force because of thier fighters. Star trek does not have many small fighters and thier ships are not desinged to fight them. So for example a group of X-wings could take out large ships like the enterprise with only a few cassualtys.

It's tricky. Star Trek, being several TV series plus a number of movies, explains its technology in much more detail than Star Wars. All you really know about Star Wars weapons is that they fire generic laser beams. If you take the Star Wars laser beams to literally be laser beams, then Star Trek would pound Star Wars into dust, as in one Star Trek episode Riker states that laser canons "couldn't even get past our navigational shields." However, that assumption makes this question no fun, so assuming that weapons are on rough parity, I think Star Wars has an edge due to its larger ships and its usage of The Force.
Unless, of course, the Q get involved...

Big Star Wars nerd here. Don't care much for Star Trek. So naturally, I'm saying Star Wars would kick the poo out of Star Trek people anyday. That goes for the characters and the fans!!!

Star Wars

To answer this question, I've selected the Clone Wars period from Star Wars to the seemingly neverending period of any Star Trek show or movie. The Galactic Republic has millions upon millions of Clone Troopers, capable of taking entire planets within days. They hold fleets of massive warships such as the Star Destroyers, and carry the power of the Force with their aiding Jedi Knights. The Confederacy hold billions of battle droids and fleets of equally large battleships along with their own Force-endowed Sith and Acolytes. There is no way any force in the Star Trek universe, aside from the Q, can stand any sort of chance against such powerful armies and armadas.

i feel like a complete geek for having even thought this trough but i did. star trek would win in pretty much all fronts. In spaceship combat they would have serious advantages in shooting as the phasers and torpedos are aimed by computers for pinpoint accuracy whereas most large starwars ships have individual gunners on each weapon. the star trek ships also would be able to use warp in combat as it is much slower than hyper drive so they could zip around the battle field very fast to confuse the enemy. and even if the star wars side deployed something like the death star, the star trek side could use its own super weapons such as the planetary destruction device used by species 8472 or the thelaron radation weapon used by the remans.

in terms of ground combat star wars would apear to have very large advantages as they have many more small arms and infantry vehicles. but the phase weapons used in star trek are usually able to vaporize there target . so the only things the star trek guys would have to be worried about would be destroyer droids with there sheilds and of course force users armed with lightsabers. and most of these things could be dealt with with lower flying small aircraft armed with explosive weapons. and since these could also probably warp, they would also be very hard to hit.

Star Trek has WAY more advance tech.

The Star Wars guys don't have cloaking tech (usually), sentient A.I. computers running their ships, Holodecks, Phaser strips, Photon torpedos and force fields.

Not to mention all the other cool things Star Trek offers.

Star Trek also has the Borg who can assimilate EVERYBODY.
