hmmmm - this one is tricky as the answer tells you a lot about the person's character, lol
in my case, i have to totally agree with touzours... phone and internet wouldn't be enough and seeing one another only once or twice a year neither... when i'm in love i want to make love too and that would be the major problem.

Long distance relationship have a very high degree of failure. It can work and I have read and heard of relationships where things worked out on a positive note. However; in the majority cases, the failure erupts from the lack of physical contact. There is no substitute for physically connections. In addition, regarding your situation; the overseas relationship will in itself be extremely challenging.
What do you do on weekends and holidays; when all of your friends are going to various functions, parties, X-mas parties? What happens when you're lonely and need the comfort of someone?
Finally, remember people continue to grow emotionally, mentally, spiritually and other aspects. With such distance between you; the likely hood of success in an overseas relationship is minuscule. Good luck; in whatever direction you choose!

It takes two very strong people to maintain a long distance relationship. I personally would not want one. But good luck to you .

I feal that if you both really care about eachother then you would work it out and stay together but if you have had any problems in the past then maybe you can't. You do love her right? if so go to were she's at.

I met my husband onine before it was fashionable. We corresponded for a couple of years before we met. He visited me twice before it was either get a new set of tires for his RX-7 or move me the 2100 miles to South Carolina.
It can work, but it can become very expensive.
