I did for a while till I realized that the money she and I made together helped the family. While I worked construction it was only for 6 months a year. She worked for the state and it was year round. While I was not working I had the privilage to take care of our children and that got me over my stupidity about her making more money than I did!

I always made significantly more than my husband over the last 30 years but we just never brought that subject up. Every time he would get a pay raise I would get one shortly there after. We had the money and we bought a home paid it off quickly, put children through college and went on vacations. I never told him how much I made, he never asked and I praised him on his pay raises.

Two, and both are idiots. I would think you would take great pride in the fact that your wife was well paid, good at her job, and earned good money. What is your problem? Perhaps you would prefer she lower herself to a position of selling hambergers at McDonalds to assuage your pride? Get a life and get on with it. If you have negative feelings about this, you are not much of a husband. Good luck

For the beginning part of our marraige I made more money than my husband and it did bother him a little. He got over it, though, and was just thankful that we were blessed with jobs. Also, I think it motivated him to work harder and now he makes WAY more than me. If it took me making more than him to make him want to do better for himself....Then so be it. I'm proud of him. =)

My wife does because she works for a medical company. Doesn't bother me at all, she just got lucky and got a good job.
