No I learned to type on a typewriter at 60wpm.
and errors weren't allowed!. back then you had to rip out the paper and start all over on important documents/
Then came "correcto type" it was a small piece of
plastic covered in a powdered white out stuff that you put between the ribbon and the paper and you re-typed the mistake, the white stuff would cover the mistake and you could then go back and re-type what you should have typed in the first place!
Todays PCs make old jobs like that much easier.
but sometimes like if you need to type on a envelope
it would be much simpler if you had a old fashioned
type writer.

Sorry, yet i'm so previous I keep in mind utilising mechanical typewriters. Make an errors and you the two had to re-form the whole internet site, or rub it out with a undeniable rubber (if there have been carbon copies, then you rather had to place scraps of paper below the carbon replica and then erase the word one after the other). you in all probability get the image. We learnt to form properly. Tippex became into high-quality, as long as you probably did no longer have carbon copies. And nail varnish became right into a brilliant answer in case you made a mistake whilst typing a duplicating epidermis. No, i do no longer seem on the keyboard whilst i'm typing, i seem on the reveal, yet surprisingly even that's no longer needed, my strategies tells me whilst my palms have made a mistake.

Sometimes. During Freshman year of high school (& typing class), I broke my fingers right after learning the letters. If I need to type a number or a symbol, I have to look. Very sad.

No chance......I keep my concentration on screen when I compose letters, essays, notes or stuff like that....and when I have to do others' work, my eyes get fixed naturally on concerned papers only......Well, but sometime I do take a glance at numeric pad near to our right hand whenever I need, especially for calculation purposes. I think everybody follow these steps only.

I try not to, but I find myself resorting to it sometimes. I've never had a typing class. When I was in high school you didn't take typing unless you wanted to be a secretary.

Never except when I'm really tired and I need to change a long and complicated password! I used the Tap-Touche software 9 years ago. Practice makes perfect! ;-)
