I'm so nervous. I'm waiting for a call from a financial institution about a job. They said to call them, but when I did, the person I needed to talk to was out of the office and would be back between 1pm and 1:30pm. Should I call her back or just wait for her to call me? What do you do when you are really nervous?

You should call and leave a message. Also try and reach back between the times mentioned. Bottom line is if you want the job then following up a bit is not a bad idea. Regarding being nervous, take a deep breathe and remind yourself nothing is worth more than yourself and try being happy. Remember its only one life we all get to live.

You can not hurt anything by calling again to make sure that person gets the message that you are serious about wanting to talk to them. You might want to buy some essential oils in an herbal store. Putting some pure lavender oil in bath water and soaking in it a while might help calm the nerves. I read my Bible and find comfort or peace in that. Or how about just exercising or dancing to music you like....it might help you wind down.

1) Listen to music, preferably Yanni.
2) Breathing exercises - inhale slowly, hold your breath for 10 seconds, exhale slowly, repeat.
3) Pray

Deep breathing! In through the nose, out through the mouth.

If they told you to call them back, call them back! Calm down and call again.
