My works has a spreadsheet, database, doc imaging, portfolio and clip organizer. That should do most if not all of what you need.

Microsoft Works Powerpoint

Microsoft Works is not a full flege member of the Office Suites. In order to get Power Point you would need to either purchase it in the Microsoft Office for Business or as a stand alone program. Microsoft Works is an inexpensive form of gaining a few office programs without paying the price of even the Students and Teachers version. I am not sure the Students and teachers version has powerpoint. I know the Business version does as that is the version I currently have. I don't have Microsoft Access, I would need to have purchased the most expensive Office Suite of all, Microsoft Business Professional to get that one. However, buying a suit is still much less expensive than buying each program as stand alone programs, Stand Alone simply means one at a time, instead of in a suite. The suites are still full fleged programs, but grouped into one suite. Microsoft Works provides only the most basic program functionality. Sorry, but you will need to check ans see if the Students and Teachers version contains Power Point if not then you will need to get Microsoft Office Business suite. The cost of each program singly is over a hundred dollars each, while the business suite is a little over 200 for five programs plus all the office tools. Just checked, yeah the Students and Teachers Suite has Powerpoint. If you decide to buy this remove Microsoft Works from your system first, then install the Microsoft Office Students and Teachers Suite. This version lacks the Publisher program.

Good luck and have a nice day!

RE:
Why does Microsoft Works not have Powerpoint?? Is there anyway I can do a PP presentation using Works?

That's because MS want you to pay big money for their Powerpoint software. There are some presentation software that can be found online. They can do basic presentation but not fancy like Powerpoint 2003 or XP.

In short, no.
You can download a suite called Open Office, it's free and will do similar things you can do in MS Office, it's free and they are making updates all the time.
It is a very good program for anyone who needs to use an MS Office application and can't find someone with a copy, a crack or can't afford to buy the student version.

The Websight follows.

No, there is not unfortunately. Works is a very "trimmed down" version of Office, which includes Powerpoint. Buying the full version of PPT by itself costs around $200. You can get Office (word, excel, ppt, outlook) for $400. Or you can get Office for Students and Teachers for about $130. OR..... you can find a friend who already has it and ask if you can load it on your system (which is illegal).

Yes as long as the mac has Office 2008. If you used the newer version of Office for PC you may have trouble. I couldn't read documents from the new PC version of Office on my Mac a school. It had Office 2003? Once I install Office 2008 for Mac I'm good to go.
