Why are Americans so afraid to share their land with immigrants?

they not afraid, and its not "americans" land. its the indians but thats old news...anyhoo, we just have a problem with immigrants coming here n not doing nothing. thats all

First of all, there's not much land left to "share", look how overcrowded the cities are! The traffic, crime, real estate prices - most of it is due to overpopulation and more than half of them are immigrants. 2nd - it's not just immigrants, but too many illegal immigrants breaking the law, taking advantage of the system and services that taxpayers have to pay for. Another thing is that when someone wants somebody else to share something - they ASK, and illegal immigrants DO NOT! They break the law by crossing the border illegally and and want everything to be GIVEN to them. So, it's not that Americans or LEGAL citizens of U.S. afraid to share their land - we have a problem with people coming to our land, disregarding our laws, disrespecting us and demanding everything to be given to them just because.

We aren't. We have people immigrate to this country every single year and we are glad to have them.

I live in CA. We don't accept ALL the illegal immigrants because of the abuse of public aid and assistance. Or, the fact that you can't find many classrooms in CA were they speak only English, even for the many kids who only speak English. It's easy to say "Help Everybody" but it gets hard when you try to figure out how to pay for it all...

And, what about those people who don't really want to live in the US? They want to come here, make money and then go back to Mexico. That's not being a part of our team, that's manipulating the system. How is it right to leech off our system only to leave when you've made enough money?

I have no problems with immigrants. Everyone here except the native Americans are immigrants. It's the illegal aliens that I have a problem with. I would like a job picking them off with an M16 as they try to cross the border.

I don't mind sharing the land - but I would also like them to share the burdens of taxes. Illegal immigrants do not pay taxes and do not support the country - they are getting a free ride. When they go to a hospital they are still given emergency care - at state expense, when they drive on the rodes they are deteriorating them just the same as me - but do not pay taxes to rebuild.

In America, almost anyone can be rich and the last thing an American needs is an immigrant becoming an American citizen, getting money and living right next to you in Beverly Hills. Is this possible? Yes. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I've noticed that the illegal mexican immigrants have these big families, and a lot of them land in jail. Considering they're mostly undocumented, it all adds up to bad news.

I'm all for controlled immigration but no good will come of the way things are now.

Americans in general are not afriad to 'share their land'. Most people in America are unwilling to be taken over by ILLEGAL immigrants -- people who pay for dead people's social security numbers, so they can get jobs here in the USA. I've found that most people are willing - and happy - to befriend immigrants who have come here legally.

i often wonder that same thing if america is so great then why are u people so rude about sharing it with others...thank god i live in canada and our immigration policies are better and we have a more cultured society which has yet to prove to be a bad thing. you need immigrants weather u like it or not.

We are not afraid to share our land. We would LOVE to share our land, but not for free. They should have to pay taxes just like the rest of us!!!!
