communication..compromise...learning....teaching.
all these things are a Necessity in Any relationship. throw in respect, love, commitment, and trust, and u'll be able to weather any storm.
but this all takes WORK. and it should be an Appreciative, Growing, Satisfying work. if it becomes a ball and chain, a negative thing, too much sadness, hurt feelings, miscommunication.... a relationship becomes strained, and love is not the issue anymore. Compromise becomes the issue. if u cannot break thru those barriers to become Healthy, Positive, BETTER...than u are stuck in a rut. try ur hardest to work on it, make a change. if that person is also willing, u will know that it is worth it. it will BE satisfying. but if one person cannot change, does'nt know how to work on things, is closed minded, selfish etc etc etc, ANYTHING negative, than u have to do something....
good luck. it is worth it to be happy. it is worth it to be a whole, positive, happy, healthy person, so that u can contribute to the relationship. it is worth finding someone who is whole and can do the same. if u bring together something that is broken and keep forcing it together, and there is no hope of fixing the problems, u are left with nothing but hurt and negativity. make ur relationship positive. if u can't, then u may have to resort to finding someone who Can and Will. good luck.

I think it's called agreeing to disagree. I know alot of relationships that work that way, I don't know how,but it seems to work for some people.

It's called maturity and being emotionally healthy. Few people can actually do both at the same time.

You can't!! You can't live a life with someone that you can't agree about money, kids, family problems. Save yourself the trouble and find someone that you have common beliefs.
