What's the most ridiculous/expensive thing you've ever bought, then later regretted?

An electric fence for the yard. Supposed to keep the dog in - we used it - oh I don't know three times....I did not want to buy it my husband did - I still bug him about our $3000.o0 loss!

I bought a pair of $300 shoes. What a waste of money. I saw a pair of shoes almost exactly the same the next day for $40. Don't waste your money on the high end stuff. Inexpensive is more fullfilling, because you can buy more or less without as much regret.

I bought an X-terra while trading in a vehicle that was close to being paid off. It cost me sixteen thousand dollars and added the extra car payment to my expenses for five more years. Ugh. Should have kept the Explorer I traded in...

Hate ironing but bought a iron press for £200 and never used it.
It was worse than ironing or maybe I am inept

was a $7 bracelet i got for a girl i liked. if i had known sooner all she wanted out of me was a peice of jewelry i would have got her a bread twist tie shaped into a ring. i could have saved $7.
