Setting: Sunset at the beach while playing inside the water.
This is what my husband told me verbatim:
"My sweet love, here in front of GOD, the sun, the moon, the stars, the angels, and the sea I would like to ask you this...would you be......(he paused).....my never-ending-story (my favorite movie of all time), the soul of my soul, the air a breathe.....(he paused again, he was starting to cry....how romantic)......Would you be my wife?"
We've been married for 2 1/2 years and together 5 1/2.

I think that it's not the proposal that would be innovative, but the place where you propose. The place could be a romantic place, like where you first met, or a fun place that you've been to, or a fly her to Paris for dinner, and propose there.

My friends husband asked her at the top of a huge roller coaster ride- It was very romantic and very creative i thought. Good luck

Well, my best friends hubby took her out to dinner to a Chinese restaurant and had them put a message "Will You Marry Me" in her fortune cookie.
