Not even close, I have seen all of these reporters who have a vote in the hall of fame say that they will not vote for him because he took Stereroids!!. Remember the conference with Balco? No way

He doesn't belong with Cal Ripken nor Tony Gwynn true hall of famers.

no he shouldnt. tony gwynn and Cal Ripken both did many more memorable things then hitting home runs but if those are the only players of that caliber then he should be but in a stronger class i don't think he would be inducted(but maybe indicted for steroids)

Not a chance. I dont think he will get in at all. He pretty much admitting to using steroids. He also admitted he used andro before. I know it was legal when he used it but it obviously was a big part of his success. He is a cheater and everyone knows it. Im glad hes going in with a class with a few locks to get in so it wont be as hard to turn him away. What message does that send if he got in. I dont like Bonds either and I am positive, in my own mind, that he juiced but since he has never admitted it or been caught he has more credibility right now then McGuire.

Hello. Did you see him sitting on national TV in front of congress last year? He does NOT deserve that honor, with all of his lying steriod usage. I hardly even recognised that used up body of his..have you seen others, like Cal Ripken? He can't stand next to him! give me a break!

Obviously not. The whole 'roids issue will sway voters. The sad thing is the guy would have been a HOFer w/o the 'roids. Now that whole era has an asterisk. These guys who pumped themselves up should not get in until they have passed away. That should be penalty enough.

He probably won't make it on the 1st ballot because of the steroids cloud. He will, however, make the Hall in due time.

To those who say he shouldn't make it because of steroids....please remember, he was never found guilty of anything. It's a slippery slope we're playing on if we start tagging a guilty label on people who have never even gone to trial.

he deserves to be, but he probably wont be. he has 583 HRs, and a career average of 10.61 at-bats per HR, the all time record. you give him 10,000+ at-bats and he gets around 1000 HRs! he might not have a great average, and theres all the controversy but the guy was the best HR hitter ever. the reason he won't make it, is that most of the guys that vote, won't vote for him simply because of the steroid accusations
