i do not understand why this kind of method can use to measure the dissolves oxygen? why we should add manganase sulfate solution, then add akaline-iodine solution, and the sulphuric acid; after that, sodium thiosulphate solution have use to titrate the solution(also have add some starch solution in betwwen of the titrate)?
i had do the research on internet, but i still not understand and confuse with the equation that they have show. thus, if you show the equation, please explain to me..ok? thanks you so much!!!

Its basically a redox reaction which uses the dissolved oxygen as a reagent. Iodimetry is involved.
