Lugilagaa: I only suck when asked nicely. Please try again.

Thanks, Sugaree, I DO feel better.

Imani: I don't think I'm the only person who matters. I was just having a lousy day. How are you to know that I didn't just find out I had cancer, or something? Other people's self righteousness generally doesn't help.

When I am having a really bad day, I try to find at least one good thing to focus on. Can you go outside? If the weather is nice, go out and just look at the sky for a few minutes. The sunlight and clouds can make you feel better. If you cannot get out, try to find some music that you enjoy listening to--something upbeat is probably best.
I have also been known to get in my car, close all the windows, turn the radio up loud on some wild rock song, and scream my brains out for about two minutes. I look like a total idiot, but afterwards I feel better. Even if you can't do that, imagining how ridiculous I look when I do it may cheer you up. Now, here's my last ditch suggestion. Find a coffee mug you hate, or something else breakable that you don't want, and smash it to bits. It relieves the tension, and you feel like you have gotten even with the world a little.

Hi Ohiokate:
Well, the good news is that this crappy day is half over already, and pretty soon it will be behind you.
Not sure what's going wrong in your life (and the details don't matter) but you deserve better. Give yourself a break. If you're into jogging, strap on your booties and head out for a run. If you're not, treat yourself to whatever makes you feel better.
Sometimes getting physical can really help. Grab a pillow and pound the b'jeez out of it. Yell at it. Scream at it. Get rid of whatever is bothering you.
Then sit down with a cup of tea (something nice, like chamomile and peppermint) and just relax.
Bottom line is, tomorrow is coming up, and it's going to be a whole lot better.

Cheers. Just try to relax and find at least one positive thing about negative. At least it's not the other way around-having bad days 24/7 and a few good days-so that should cheer you up-your bound to have a bad day-when it comes you can't believe it-but it happens and soon you'll fall asleep into another world and wake-up and ready to live for another day-and it'll be a great one. God bless.

I got caught in the rain this morning. On the way out of my car, my skirt got stuck in the door and ripped a little and then a big delivery truck drove by and splashed me with a muddy puddle. And I have to sit at work with dry mud on my clothes. Hope that cheers you up a bit.

I feel your pain. When I have a bad day I can get some of my old records out and the good memories of a favorite song helps.

This has worked for me before:

He's the sort of friend who, if you were ever in a jam, he'd be there - with two slices of bread and some chunky peanut butter.

Or if it's boy trouble:
What would men be without women? Scarce sir, mighty scarce.

Well, just think that there's a million other people out there having a worse day than you.. Parents are watching children die, people are homeless and starving.. you should count your blessings and be thankful for what you have.. instead of being selfish and thinking that you're the only person that matters.
