Seriously, you should wait for the Sony Playstation 3. If you go buy an Xbox 360, then you're just stuck with an Xbox upgrade that is 3rd world comparison to Playstation 3. If you know what's under the hood of PS3, then you'll know why I'm saying Xbox 360 is 3rd world.

You'll thank yourself later on for it.

IGN and GameInformer do not know a damn thing about what they're talking about giving the Xbox 360 more pros then PS3. They're American; of course they're going to say Xbox 360 is better. I'm American as well, but I don't listen to the lies and propaganda that Peter Moore, J Allard and Robbie Bach express about the Xbox 360. In Peter Moore's own words, he says, "With Xbox 360, we have gotten rid of the jaggies." What he said is a lie, I've looked at the Xbox 360 logos on LCD HDTV's at places like GameStop, Wal*Mart and Fry's Electronics, and I tell you, I saw hundreds of jaggies in the Xbox 360 logo alone, not only that but I've seen the gameplay and when it freezes, there were jagged edges on the HD screen.

PS3 & 360 comparison:

$299.99
Xbox 360 Core: standard (wired) controller
$399.99
Xbox 360 Premium: hard drive, wireless controller, headset, WiFi plug-in adapter.

$499.99
PS3 Premium: 20GB hard drive, Blu-Ray drive, 6 USB 2.0 ports, built-in WiFi.
$599.99
PS3 Deluxe: 60GB hard drive, Blu-Ray drive, HDMI output, 6 USB 2.0 ports, Memory Stick/SD/CompactFlash, built-in WiFi.

You get a whole lot more compared to Xbox 360's "Premium." Including outstanding hardware performance.
Fact: Playstation 3 can decode over 1,000 movies at one time when Xbox 360, equivalent to a standard DVD player has a hard time decoding one.
So, for those Xbox fan-bois who think Microsoft is the best need to put their heads out of their asses. Microsoft uses Intel Pentium processors. Xbox used the Intel Pentium 3 microprocessor, the Xbox 360 uses a Pentium 4 microprocessor, and we all know AMD Athon slams Intel into the ground any day. The strongest CPU microprocessor on the market to date is AMD Athon FX 64, and the PS3's Cell processor is estimated two to three times the power of the AMD Athon FX 64. Not only that, but there WILL be, not one, but TWO Cell processor in the PS3, which cost $500 each. Not to mention the PS3's graphics synthesizer; the RSX, which renders the movie shader graphics.
Also, think about the size of the Cell chip... You know Intel's and Athon's microprocessor size 2" by 2". The Cell processor is the size of the nail on your index finger.

Get a 360 now, because the PS3 is gonna cost a bundle, but it will go down in price fundamentally in a year after it is released. Now if you've got just 600$ on you, and you don't think you'll have that kind of money again any time soon, then I'd go with waiting for a PS3, because it will be the all around better system.

My man viper just said it all. The PS3 has way more raw power than the x-box 360. It also has killer games to go with it. The only reason people knock the PS3 is because it cost so much, but i am willing to pony up the dough for quality.

Save up for it, it's gonna be expensive. You can get a 360 when Halo 3 comes out, probably at a cheaper price then now.

Just wait for the PS3.

Ps3 is the best.... even though 360's graphics ARE better than PS3s, it is still appreciatable..(Check out FFXIII at google videos and you will be amazed!) Ps3's games are a variety of RPG's like Final Fantasy games, 1st person or 3rd like resident Evil 5, and lots lots more.... It is worth buying PS3... Wii's games are for younger audiences, and theyre games sucks...

Check out ign.com They had a great article on this. both have their pros/cons. A big con for the PS3 will be it's price. some estimates are round $500-600. I'd wait til closer to launch to decide. There will be more reviews by then.

hmmmmmmm.........

It's really up to you even though PS3 will be expensive.(extremely If you do not have a HD TV.) but the graphics would look better. Then again Graphics in a game isn't everything. Wait for both and see what games that you are interested in.

Get Nintendo's Wii.

The others just flat out suck. Well, I shouldn't say that.
Research what games they have or what companies they work with. If I were you, I would buy a system that seems to put out games you are interested in and by companies you like. And look a system that has features you are looking for(online play, ability to play older games by that company, controller comfort, etc.).
Nintendo has a very board fan base and is meant for everyone young and old. The games are based off of classics and you know its something everyone/anyone can find interest it
360 is aimed toward virgin men who still think Halo is the best thing since t*tties. Most 360 games are defiantly geared toward men and are first person, one player shooters. Those games are boring, so for that...f*ck you Microsoft
Playstations are okay, but their games are still produced in poor quality and the graphics are never up to par.

Keep in mind pleanty of games come out for all systems, so chances are, you'll be happy with whatever you get.

PS3 PS3 PS3!!!!!!!!! Sony will dominate. I can't say much more, because I have XBOX360 and I'm getting PS3. I get the best of both worlds! If you can, do what I'm doing! If only one, GET PS3.
